ABOUT

LEt’s Get to Know Each Other

Hi, I’m Linda and I’m glad you found me. As a freelance editor I focus on providing professional proofreading and copyediting services to individual authors, academics, and publishers.

I got started in publishing as an editorial assistant at SAGE Publications, then transitioned to freelancing and spent 5 years specializing as a proofreader. I’ve worked on hundreds of articles for 40+ journal titles covering education, psychology, communication, criminology, and other disciplines in the social sciences and humanities.

There was also that time I worked in journalism as a media editor. I thought I’d just be writing and editing news stories and website copy (which I did). Then . . . surprise! Someone stuck a microphone in my hand and sent me out with a videographer to interview strangers on the street. As much as I enjoy new experiences, my inner introvert is glad to be back at my keyboard typing.

A little bit about me: I traded Nevada’s deserts for the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, and I’m currently on a quest to explore all the local bookshops. Besides reading I like family game night, 90s music, and Netflix marathons.
